Stretched Sixteen Patch Quilt

Hello friends,

It has been a while since last posted. After a long break, I don’t really know how to get back to blogging and sharing my makes on social media. It feels daunting at times to begin again. But we have to start somewhere…

Last summer I was working on a sixteen patch quilt and created a tutorial for it. You can find the tutorial here. Since then, I finished the quilt and I’m so happy how it turned out. It is bright and cheerful and so easy to make. I used Kona solids from my scraps and a scrap back from Ruby Star Society (such lovely prints). To quilt the quilt I used a wavy stitch on my Janome machine. I can’t believe how stunning the stitch looks. I opted for a brown/mustard color thread and I love how well it complements all the bight fabrics.

I hope you make your own. If you do please tag me on instagram; I’d love to see yours.

Until next time,

Martha
